- a CD recording [4 x 4 North West] of the String Quartet No 3 (Manchester Camerata Ensemble) is now available from Campion Records (Cameo 2046) "British Composer Series";
- two works have been recorded for CD by the Manchester Camerata Ensemble directed by Richard Howarth: "Concerto Corto e Dolce" and "Concertante for Violin, Horn and Harp";
- three new works for Double Bass ["Four Journeys and An Arrival" (with piano), "Distant Dreams - Forgotten Memories" (with violin, or with guitar, or with piano), and "Parallel Shadows" (with piano)] are now available from Recital Music ;
- a new piece "Vale Royal Suite" designed for ambitious string orchestras in the community is now available: it was written for Richard Howarth and the Vale Royal Orchestra in 2007;
- a new CD of music for choir and organ (performed by Alteri, conductor David Jones, with Tom Bell [organ]) includes the Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis, "A Distant Horizon", the Festival Introit, and Two Antiphons, together with a recently-commissioned piece "Autumn Light", generously funded by the Ida Carroll Trust. It is scheduled for release during 2009;
- "The Open Air" (Arioso Aperto) is a short work composed for James Bowman, with recorder, cello, and pianoforte accompaniment, commissioned by the RVW Trust for the Evelyn Barbirolli Memorial concert which took place on 6 June 2009 at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester;
- a new CD of British music featuring Leon Bosch includes the very popular Sonata for solo double bass;
- the young Chinese virtuoso Wu Zheng-Yu has commissioned a Violin Sonata for her CD to be produced during 2010.
- the premiere of "Parallel Shadows" for double bass and piano took take place on 14 March 2009 at Riverhouse Arts Centre, Walton-on-Thames, given by Leon Bosch and Alison Rhind. It was repeated in June at a concert in the USA, and was performed again in the UK at the Lake District Summer Music Festival on 5 August 2009.
- a recording of British music premieres on the Somm label [CD 241] for piano and orchestra with soloist Mark Bebbington & the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Howard Williams, includes the Piano Concertino by Frederic Austin in an edition commissioned from David Ellis.
- the first performance of Pitfield Pumproom was given on 26 November 2009 in Manchester as part of the New Music Festival and played by the RNCM Wind Collective conducted by Mark Heron.
